The organization chart
The AssICC organization involves the following:
- General Assembly
- Board of Directors
- Executive Committee
- President
- Past President
- Honorary President
- Board of arbitrators
- Collegio Arbitrale Commercio Chimico (CoACC) (Board of Arbitrators
of Chemical Trade)
- General Secretary
The General Assembly consists of the legal representatives
(or delegates) of the member companies. Every four years it
elects the President, the Executive Committee and is responsible
other assembly appointments, as well as for deciding on extraordinary
issues such as Statute changes. The chemical trade company partners
may participate in the meeting even if voteless.
The Board of directors is in charge of implementing the
Meeting resolutions, of electing the three Vicepresidents, of
drawing the estimate and final balances, as well as of resolving
on extraordinary events. The Board also elects the Executive
Committee, a body in charge of ordinary administration issues
and assisting the President as far as the implementation of
the Association programmatic guidelines.
The Executive Committee is chaired by the AssICC President
and is made up, beside the President, also by the Past President,
three VicePresidents and six councillors elected by the Board,
with the aim of ensuring that all chemical sectors are appropriately
represented. The Committee is in charge of implementing the
guidelines established by the General Meeting and the Board,
ordinary administration, the appointment of AssICC representatives
at other bodies and the management of professional assignments.
The President is the AssICC representative to all intents and
purposes, and cannot be consecutively re-elected more than twice.
Once expired the term the elected President is automatically
appointed Past President , thus continuing to contribute his
experience to the Association. The Past President is also automatically
a member of the Board and of the Meeting.
The Honorary President also participates in the Board and Executive
Committee meetings but he is voteless. The Honorary President
is selected among names of recognized prestige and merit and
may be appointed by AssICC as a national and international representative.
The Board of Arbitrators is an audit body of the Association
and as such can not include subjects already holding other appointments.
It deliberates on member disputes or on action by other bodies.
The Board of Arbitrators of Chemical Trade resolves disputes
in which at least one of the counterparts is an AssICC member,
provided its contracts include an arbitration clause involving
it or on the basis of a later agreement.
The General Secretary supervises all AssICC services and acts
as appropriate to ensure the regular operation. He is appointed
on proposal by the President and on indication by the Unione
del Commercio del Turismo e dei Servizi della Provincia di Milano
(Commerce, Tourism and Services Association of the Province
of Milan) and by the Board of Directors. He acts as secretary
office on behalf of the Board and any other association body.
