From December 12, 1981 officer at AssICC (Associazione Italiana Commercio Chimico)
In 1985 is appointed Vice Secretary General of AssICC
During the same year participates in the Training KAESER Management 1 on "Relationship with staff: motivation and leadership", at the Studio Mario Silvano S.p.A. of Milan
Since April 1985 and up to October 1988 writes several articles on legislation concerning the chemical sector, published on monthly trade publications
From 1989 participates in the Secretaries Meetings of FECC (in which AssICC participates), held at the Permanent Office of Bruxelles
In 1990 participates as "Expert" in the preparation of an opinion documentation together with a study group of the EEC Economic and Social Committee concerning legislation on the chemical sector
Is a member of the Consiglio di Certiquality (Certification body of the Chemical sector) and of Unichim (Regulation body adhering to UNI)
Participates in the interdepartmental meetings held in Rome on special issues of the chemical sector
Is a member of the National Consulting Committee of the Chemical Weapons Convention held in Paris, housed in Rome at the Foreign Office

From April 1999 holds the appointment of Secretary General for AssICC
